The True Tip

On Sunday, January 12, we took our longest drive thus far: a ten hour trip to Cape Agulhas the real and true southernmost tip of Africa. It took ten hours because 1) we wasted over an hour taking a wrong turn on the way out and being lost 2) we plotted our way to go down the coast on the way out and back through the higher more mountainous region on the way back and 3) we wasted another half hour by taking a wrong turn and getting lost on our return. What was most disconcerting was that we will take the same road out on Friday when we go to the airport and we had already made a dry run at that. Now we are not so sure. Perhaps another dry run is in order. Pictured above you will see Bill relaxing at the coastal town of Hermanus. The other two photos are of Cape Agulhas with the Indian Ocean and the small town of Agulhas on the left as you look out to sea and the Atlantic Ocean on the right.
