Today we drove to Stellenbosh which is in the South African wine country. There are more than 300 winerys in the wine country and you can visit most of them and taste the wine, have a bite to eat, enjoy the fantastic views, and generally just relax. This is going to take some time so we will be going back. However we had another accomplishment today. As we were walking around town we happened upon a hair salon and since Bill has not had a haircut in 6 months we decided to give it a try. One of the stylists had an opening so I sat and read while Bill was shampooed with a head massage and styled. The girl even did his eyebrows! No, she didn't pluck them but she did a bit of combing and cutting and thinning. Keeping in mind the $75.00 I paid to have my hair cut in Edinburgh, we were delighted that the cost was only 90 rand: $10.00. The result is shown above along with a photo taken a few days ago to give you a before and after.
