Brief Stop in Egypt

We stopped for only 2 and 1/2 days in Egypt on our way to South Africa. During that time we stayed in a fun apartment in a part of Giza that is very rural. Our apt. was on the 4th floor up what seemed like thousands of stairs. We were across from a camel stable and we had wonderful views of the pyramids and the sphinx.
This first photo is our view as we lay in our bed. That is our balcony just outside the door.

View from the balcony. We could see all three pyramids of Giza and if we went up to the roof above us we could see the sphinx.




No visit to Cairo could be complete without seeing a bellydancer. Bill was able to get very close.

    Oh I don't know ... she has pretty eyes. Looks like Dad isn't quite sure where to put his hand, though. Love you guys!

    Actually he put his had loosely around her waist and she immediately removed it and held it away from her. No touching the belly dancer!!!
